Capt. Anne L. McIntyre serves as the Business Director for the San Francisco Bar Pilots, where she oversees the Association’s business, regulatory and legislative affairs. She graduated from CSU Maritime in 1988 with a BS in Nautical Industrial Technology and worked Chevon Shipping in various sea-going and shoreside positions in their US tanker fleet. In 1996, she became the first woman selected by the State of Oregon to become a Columbia River Pilot, making her the first female graduate of CSU Maritime to become a state-licensed maritime pilot. Throughout her career, Capt. McIntyre has been actively involved in the pilotage profession, particularly in regulatory affairs and promoting diversity in the maritime industry. She also holds a USCG Unlimited Masters License and an MS in Transportation and Engineering Management, also from CSU Maritime.
