Arie embarked on a remarkable career at sea in 1993, commencing as an officer in the Dutch Royal Navy, where they served on mine countermeasure vessels dedicated to the vital task of clearing explosives left behind from both world wars. In 2001, Arie underwent a significant career shift, transitioning to work with juvenile delinquents aboard various training vessels. Their dedication centred on preparing these young individuals for reintegration into society.
Following their work with juvenile delinquents, Arie ventured into towing and offshore activities, adding yet another dimension to his maritime experience. In 2008, Arie began pilot training and has since embraced the role of a seasoned pilot, specializing in navigating the complex waters of seas, rivers, and ports. This enduring commitment has solidified Arie as a trusted and experienced professional within the maritime community.
